2.1 Rule of Origin and Nationality Rule

Rule of Origin:

  • All equipment purchased under the contract has to be manufactured in one of the EU member States, EEA and IPA countries, and other countries with whom the EU has reciprocal access
  • If the item to be supplied costs more than EUR 5000 the origin of the supplies should be attested by the supplier by the certificate of origin made out by the competent authorities of the country of origin of the supplies

Nationality Rule:

  • All companies registered in the EU Member States, European Economic Area: Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, IPA beneficiaries: Croatia, FYROM, Turkey, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and Kosovo are eligible to participate to the tenders in open on equal terms.
  • The nationality rule does not apply to the experts hired by companies.
