6.3 There is a specific procedure to recruit the project’s short term experts?

No there is no specific procedure to recruit the short term experts, it is recommended to follow the recruitment procedures used for long term experts, or beneficiary’s recruitment procedure.

The recruitment may be internal, within the beneficiary or partners organisations, if the expert’s profile and requested expertise exist or external, outside of the beneficiary or partners organisations.

In the case of internal recruitment the salary including the taxes on salary of the short term expert (s) paid by the beneficiary or partners can be considered contribution to the project budget, the expenditure have to be properly documented:

  1. Payroll records as contracts, salary statements, approved timesheets, transport tickets, etc.
  2. Proof of delivery of services such as: approved activity reports, technical specifications, training materials, training delivery reports, etc.

NB: Ensure during the recruitment process that the principles of equal opportunities and gender balance are observed.
